CHESS'S NEXT GENERATION WOULD BE COMPUTERS?
This is already being done. Ever head of Stockfish, Komodo,Houdini...well there are many engines like this which take part in the annual engine tournaments like TCEC
Point is that most non-chess dudes don't even know about the existence of chess engines. Among chess-knowing community, we know that top level chess is highly influenced by chess engines but as far as we (<2500 elo) are concerned, chess is still not so much computerized (maybe about 50-60% computerized above 2000 elo). Above 2700 it's like 80-90% computerized. I mean that these players play the moves of engines. Only exceptions to my above thought are Baadur Jobava and Richard Rapport.
