unfair and not having a bit of sports man spirit

  • #2

Why is it unfair? Just keep playing other games.

  • #3

see thing is he was mooving so fast till that move next move he is going to loose.in such situation he is going for vacation.is it fair?

    one more point

if i am a basic member it is more problem for me.as per chess.com rule basic member can participate in only one tournament,if i want to participate in another i have to quite from this mean i will loose all tournaments,

i took premium becasue of this.bcoz of one player it is headach for all

moreover it is not fair for a chess player

w/nikhsahi IF wat he says is true & his opponent was make'n moves quickly til now then goes on vacation 1 move b4checkmate rather than resigning or make'n his move1st then that's lame of him2do.  it especially sux in a tournie! but yes eddysallin it is possible he had an emergency right@this time & did not look@the game1st or cared2 .. but i'v seen this type of "strategy" b4where players do this purposely & i must agree4those whom do it's at the very least UNSPORTING.

just use conditionnal moves? Qh7# in answer to Kxh8

That way you don't have to worry about when he will finally make his move.

He's a 14 years old teenager, may be he didn't like being beaten by a opponent with a rating 600 under his...

Just do that, forget about the game, and leave rants for more serious matters.

Yes they do, there is already a rule in place, it's called "Vacation Abuse".

Report your opponent by the Help and support link at the bottom of the page.

Agreed, but it happens all the time.

and can you be on vacation and play live chess? and be on vacation for some online chess games but not others?

The problem I had on going on vacaton is that you cannot do it until it is your opponent's move in all games.  I tried to take a vacation in anticipation of losing my inter-net connection for about a week.  In one game, every time  I made a move an opponent immediately responded.  I ended up playing about 5 moves and spoiling a game that I had been playing for two months.  There ought to be a way to temporary freeze the games when you are trying to make moves to go on vacation.  I would suggest that you should be able to set a vacation and then be given a half-hour to make all your pre-vacation moves.

Okay guys, look, I don't know why this is happening. But it isn't what you think at all. The way it started is that I was first having a great game with Nikhsahi, and it appears that he starts writing on my profile messages. And the reason I deleted them was because I thought it was by mistake, I mean... I didn't have him in my friends list, so I didn't even know who he was. But the reason I took a vacation was because I was really busy with school and tests. Now, the reason why I log in still, is because there are no vacation tournaments which means that my time still runs even if I am on vaction. But still, when I am on vacation I only have like ten games at most and when I am not, I have about more than 150 games to answer and that is too much so I just have to wait until this busy time in school ends (which won't be long at all) and then I'll play all my games. I barely go to live chess or blitz at all. And when I am on vacation time, it means I am really busy so I defenitely don't go to live chess when I am on vacation time. Now as for the game with you Nikhsahi, I never even noticed that I was going to lose in one more move at all. I didn't even notice we were playing at all because I have 161 games right now. And no one made a big deal of this like you did, but okay. Now that I realized what was going on, I resigned the game. And no, I am not embarressed to being beaten by someone who is six hundred points lower than me those stuff happens all the time. Nikhsahi is just a good player who beat me. But when you posted again another thing on my wall, then I noticed that you have a problem, so I go to your profile and I see that you are trying to accuse me of something. I didn't take vacation time because I was going to lose, okay? I didn't even know I was going to lose and I didn't even know specifically what was going on in our game when I have 160 other games. It is just a game!! You see, if I were to cheat or something, then I would understand why you would be mad like that, but I didn't do any of that, I just went on vacation and you act like I did some sort of cheating with that. You envolve all your friends, which some of them actually are saying the right thing like that it is allowed and other stuff. I had games when i was totally winning the games and they were on vacation and I didn't get all upset because I knew that I was going to win anyways. I was just patien unlike you. Well there, you have the game, and just letting you know that reporting me, and involving all your friends like that, is completely childish and immature especially when it comes to having a problem with a teenager. It proves that you can't deal with it on your own. You should've just sent me a message about it and not start posting stuff on my profile wall. I can be the one reporting you as well for doing all those mean things. But you aren't even worth it I'll just let it go.

Nikhsahi, why don't you tell the whole story next time and not only the part the goes on your side. Whoever has a problem with one, he will have problems with others too.
