Do You Think that Chess.com should make more Time Control Options?

What I want is a classical time control category. Like 60+0, 60+0 followed by 40+0, 60+60, etc

I wish there was interest in slower games.  For fast players, how about 0|1?

Ugnh!!!??? R.I.P. players with bad internet connection. What would you have to do? Premove everything in the opening to live off increment lol?

DukeOfHelsinki

how about 1/2+30? Is it going to be bullet or blitz?

Yes.  Even though there  may be cheaters, I would like classical.

From another of my blog posts:

I would like to talk about one of the biggest things in chess - timers. If you've been in a tournament before, you know you normally have clocks off to the side, usually to help if you are notating, but otherwise just to time the game and make sure it doesn't go on forever (sometimes it can change a calm game to a frantic game). If you have ever played a game on Chess.com before, which i'm betting you have, you know that you have the freedom of choosing your favorite time control, something you don't usually have access to in tournaments. But maybe there should be more time control options on Chess.com?! Now, I know a lot of people will say "Oh, you can just use Custom Time, can't you?!". And while, yes, this is perfectly reasonable, when was the last time you used custom for a match and actually found a person with a close enough rating with the exact same number of minutes, seconds, and increments? Probably never. So maybe, even if it's one or two more time control options, would you think this might help Chess.com?

I think a chess.com staff already explained how they didn't want to have too many time controls, especially if they aren't necessary. Also, you can go to open challenges which shows a graph of all available challenges, including customs; it might be easier (maybe you could match people with similar time controls).  If not, play friends? happy.png

"close enough rating with the exact same number of minutes, seconds, and increments" That's a given. It would still be nice to see more time controls though.
