Looks like it's based on Marshall's famous combination against Levitsky, but with the colors reversed and some of the non-essential pieces shuffled around.

Who would play chess with a time traveler? I mean, they could just go into the future, see how the game turns out and then go back to before they made their move and fix it. The game may well be eternal, if they are really terrible at chess.
