every single one of my games i throw away right at the end, i dont always have this problem but lately every single loss i overwhelm my opponent but then i lose it all at the end, this to me is the most frustrating thing i wonder if getting pressed is not normal but instead throwing is. Its almost like a constant that if your attack fails every thing goes to hell. I cant stand my stupid rating id rather be 1400 and i should be its insane that im 1300 i despise this rating ive been here for like 2 years after climbing to 1400 twice I HATE THIS BULLCRAP!

Yes, I can relate.

I seriously need help in the endgame- I find myself in a winning position in the middle game, but when I get to the endgame, it's like my brain doesn't know how to play chess and makes stupid blunders.

im not talking about the endgame though i just mean throwing everything i have but it sometimes doesnt even win a pawn then just tilting immediately because of rage, its mostly with lower rated players, i know how to overwhelm them (1200~) i think its like an autistic problem or something maybe

im always on the attack and sometimes lower rated players will just defend everything which is absurd because thats how i got out of their rating to begin with, i have to play these crazy slow games and potentially lose its infuriating because i just want to put 1300 behind me permanently

my endgames seem fine to me when i hit the endgame i speed up and everything comes naturally for the most part, theres alot i probably dont know but for the most part its enough to win in the endgame

im kind of asking a specific unique question i dont expect a normal person to understand its alien, its like spectrum rage i cant take not winning material early on but only against lower rated players, this is a terrible way to be btw

if youve tilted i think maybe its relatable, i think ches.com might use bots and purposely lose or something so you spend the next year wondering why you cant get back to your highest rating lol i think it might be a marketing technique

because if your angry youll play more

😂 That's a !! strategy (if it's true)

I think we've found the problem.

Attack is NOT how you gain the advantage. That's just a VERY common misconception.

Attack is a PROCESS for converting ONE form of advantage into a different (and usually, more readily usable) form.

For instance, AFTER you have gained an advantage in time and development (more pieces out fighting) and also in controlled space near the enemy's King position, then you can use Attack (a process, not a goal) to convert that existing advantage into some other form, like checkmate or winning a piece.

But you GAIN the advantage by maneuver. You only CASH IN by attacking.

I agree, i always wait to attack. I think what youre saying i understand. I know when to attack for the most part but i think, like i said, against lower rated players i dont want the game to drag on so i try to use cheap tricks to overwhelm, not necessarily pawn grabbing but for bigger money like a free piece. With lower rated players sometimes they close up when getting attacked (human psychology) I do too but its extremely rare for to get pressed unless its a much better player.

I hate these lower rated games im playing, if you understand. Im conflicted about beating up on lower rated players, it feels like cheating. I can play at a 1500 level comfortably but i hate doing this crap to lower rated players, same goes for anyone, i wish i could reset my rating to 1500 everytime it fell. I'm maybe more hard pressed at 1500 but 1400 i can do easily.

Yea up three pawns, should be winning yea? Nope. Because I'm dumb. Lost my sense of danger and pulled defeat from the jaws of victory.
