FIDE Rated events in Virginia

Hi I was wondering if there are any fide rated events in Virginia. Although I plan to play USCF for a long time, just wondering for the future - Thanks

That's interesting...didn't think there WERE any FIDE-rated events in the United States; thought one had to go to Europe for that.

There are a lot of tournaments in Northern Virginia that are USCF and FIDE rated. I think the Atlantic Open in August is going to have a couple FIDE rated sections.

The Continental Chess Association runs a lot of big open tournaments in the US. The top group in these tournaments is FIDE rated, sometimes the second group as well. I see they have a Virginia tournament in August.
