Have you seen this? I show it to everybody.
A Heroic Defense in the Sicilian Najdorf - Kids, don't try this at home!
Whoa that's cool that your club gets to play other countries

It's not official national teams, of course.
Just whichever club members decide to sign up for the match.

I play on team Canada and I think they do that too
edit: I just saw the forum link and realized you were playing against team Canada so I suppose you knew that.
#98 I just play the exchange to avoid all theory and bore my opponent into submission
I like to play Nc3 as white in queens gambit declined. As black I play the Old Benoni Defence (d4 c5) so I never see it or the London or anything as black.

I was playing FOR Team Canada, not against them.
I live in the Maritimes. Won the Atlantic Provinces Championship back in the 1980s.
I'm using a Ukrainian flag to show moral support for them.
If you play for that club too, that makes us team mates!

That’s great to hear! By the way, thanks to all you guys who have been sharing games and advice here! Crazy to think it’s got to 100 comments!
I got 92% accuracy on this 48 move game I just played and 100% accuracy on my opening!!!!??? I had a hard time finding mate at the end so that’s why I think the accuracy was lower than it should. Anyway,
My game for 1600 rapid! Over 90 precision, only one miss when I played Nd4 I saw Qd1 but didn't see I could win the pawn on c4 with Ne5. Really proud of this win (I had two losses at one game away from 1600 before) gonna push for 1700 all ratings during the year!
Here's the game :

Good day to you all!
Ok whenever I see this In my forums section I keep thinking, oh nice nonotrocostco2011 is online! And remember the vile profile picture of treacherous pranking.
Against 1. d4 openings, I usually played the King's Indian Defense. My favorite line was the Panno, which works very well against White's fianchetto lines.
I was playing chess in a very loud crowded basketball game, and got paired with an 1850. I tried my best but it was so loud and distracting and they were 400 points above me
Nothing special about this quick game, except move 13. Nf5, which I found interesting. I think it's the only winning move here threatening the pawn but also a secret threat on the bishop who has weirdly no safe squares after a6. I am proud to have found it because even my plan since the beginning was to put my knight on f5, which is a really strong square. Also proud to have won with black against the Alapin, because despite having studied it a bit I still have a lot of trouble dealing with it.

That was a nice tactical find! ![]()
