Grandmaster and their hardwork

I am 16 years old and rated around 1800 on board and my rating graph went up in about 4 months from 600. My friends say I have improved in chess a lot in very short span of time and my chess teacher says that if I take chess as carrier then it's probably I may become a good player. This is about my locality only what are your views because on a huge group of people can say the things which have the chances of getting correct in real life. So what are your views can I become a Master like FM,NM,IM or even GM. Please answer. One problem I face in my chess training is what to do to make your chess better. Some times I think what the training grandmasters are doing or have done to reach that state. And I simply want to become master. What are your views could I be able to become even a NM or I would be able to reach the grandmaster level or I will simply be nothing?
