I can't say much for the tactics rating, since the chess.com tactics trainer is weighted by time, but you should improve at tactics if you always calculate out the whole tactic before playing a move. No guessing just because a move "looks right" to you. As you improve at tactics, I suppose you'd speed up as well, increasing your rating.
I'm stoked guys. I finally made it to 1800 in my tactics. Now, I realize I"m no master, but how much of an improvement is this? I"m usually quite up and down in my ratings. Some days I"m really on and do well, other days I suck and falter back and forth. Any suggestions on how to be more consistant? I'd like to fluctuate around the level I am at now. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
