How do I beat my record on puzzle rush?

iballisticsquid123

Yes, I'm finally making an on topic forum. This probably doesn't apply to many of you, but I need to get 40 on puzzle rush to beat 39. That's a good score, but I feel like every time I get to the 40th puzzle, the difficulty jumps up. There could be many reasons for this:

1. I get super excited and I rush (hence the name "Puzzle rush").

2. When you get to 40, Puzzle rush thinks you're a master and gives you hard puzzle

3. This is half a joke, 1/3 a complaint, 1/7 of a concern and 1/42 I don't even know, It just had to equal 1-don't even ask why I didn't do 1/6 Chess.com hates everyone and wants them to be sad. Don't come after me, moderators!

Try to do the first 30 in around 2 mins so you get enough time to think your way through the rest 10

well, i usually get 30 in 2:30 and then i get three wrong. its usually not because of time

I was stuck on 39 for 3 months, so I'll tell you what I did.

About a month in, I started to focus on increasing my average score, rather than worrying about my maximum score.

I finally hit 40 about 3 months ago - a big celebration of course, but the moment came naturally (as Eric put it).

I now hit 40+ every few days.

Of course, what worked for me may not work for you, and I could well have been where I am now with a different approach.
