How do you handle this kind of player !

Nylonsock
I recently played with the white pieces, against a guy who just kept moving his paws in a row , never using his pieces, until much later in the game !

Moving his paws? I assume he was a cat?

Azer1ty
😹hahaha. Wich piece exactly should the poor animal have moved?
Nylonsock
Come on guy’s, this is serious stuff , I mean it’s hard enough being a cat in these situations. This guy is using this pawn roller , and I find myself losing a lot of space on the board 🙀
Nylonsock
Oops ! .....yeah just noticed my stupid spelling mistake !
Nylonsock
Lol 😹
Nylonsock
......still need some help with this guy’s ! 🤷‍♂️
JulianSchujul

Every Pawn move leaves weak squares behind it. So counter the "Pawn creeper" by trading off a few Pawns to open lines for your pieces against the weakened squares.

So im confused do you mean like this for example?

LewisTehCat28

Ignore the bold moves that say 1. 2. And 3. At the bottom and top and has the knight on 1. And 2. I was originally gonna move the black pawns 2 moves but then you would've captured

LewisTehCat28

Because without a board to see what you mean, i dont know what it was

Blueemu has given me the correct answer ! .....thanks to all of you, for your answers.

As an example game... one that I've posted several times already... my opponent (with the White pieces) tried to attack me right out of the opening by playing e2-e4, f2-f4 and then e4-e5. This gave him very strong threats, but it left weaknesses on the c5-g1 and b7-h1 diagonals. By balancing between defense and counter-attack, I was able to fend off his attack (just barely) and to exploit the weak squares left behind the advancing Pawn mass:
