I’ve had between one and 14 games going on at a time. With work etc I’d say about 4 games at a time is ideal on three days per move.
I prefer to play a few moves a day if possible but having three days is handy if there’s deadlines in work or family commitments going on.

I am staying below 10 for the time being finally.  Can actually concentrate.

Once I got up to over 150. Wasn't fun. Now I'm down to a more manageable 30-50, and by manageable I don't mean I think longer...

TheSultan31003

I used to routinely play 50+ games and it is night and day in terms of the depth u can play in a game when i do that vs staying below 10.

I just spend the extra time studying and practicing tactics instead of starting more games.

SNUDOO

True. However I play my daily games like bullet just for fun, so... happy.png

too many games stress you out. Just a month ago i had around 200 games going on. I was so stressed and hot tempered. I withdrew from many tournaments where i could not win and which had many games going on. Just in 3 weeks i went to below hundred. Now i am on 44. It will become less i promise you later on. I have realized that there are very less moves to do now, 10-20 a day. I am not going to start anything new. I will play i think 1-2 games at once or might just stop playing altogether!

MrIndia

  I play about 5-10 at a time

But I've had opponents who were playing over 300 games at the same time. They only moved in those games in which time left would be less than 12 hours

TheSultan31003

I see a couple of guys who routinely play over 300 games and its a very similar pattern with both. They try to play opening lines using opening explorer. You can tell they only analyze one or two moves deep and don't really play the game well. In all of my games with them, I just make good moves and play very deeply, good plans, and both made big mistakes that I was able to capitalize on and win the game. You just cannot play a good game with that many games open against an opponent who only has 5 - 10. It happens every time. They take forever to make their moves as well. You just have to be patient, pay attention to what is happening and then they will give the game to you.

Pawn_hurrican_099

yeah. I have noticed that. I was beaten by a 900 when i had 200 games going on. I beat a 1700 when he had around 900 games going on

SNUDOO

Since I don't even take 2 minutes for each of My games regardless of how many I have, my play is equally bad
