I have been playing chess for 20+ years and still play like trash
Allways analyse your games. In which i don’t mean clicking through review in 10 seconds. You have to remember your mistakes.
Solve puzzles correct way. Rated puzzles are not supposed to be solved in 5 seconds. This will give you nothing. Allways count material first. Ask yourself what is my opponent threatening. Then make list of all checks, captures and threats and calculate all of them.
Study master games. One of the main things that differentiates GMs from “normal “ players is that GMs remember hundreds of other GM games.
think before you move like what does this move do, what are the advantages?,does the opponent has any counter moves etc and last of all PLEASE FOR GODS SAKE dont trash talk if you dont know if what your doing
