On Sunday, i plaed an OTB game (i am 1986 fide, opponent 2070). He didń play rated game for a year or so and got into s time trouble. Than he overlooked a fork and i won exchange for a pawn i knew what he plays and was prepared, so i was allmost an hour ahead on time. I talked to mysef “calm down, slow down, do not spoil game against higher rated opponent”. But i could not help myself and blundered a tactic 3 moves before time control. Fortunately, opponend played only on increment and did not spot it. After that, i won on move 51. When engine showed me that tactic, which would turn over the game, i recall that Laskers saying.
"The hardest game to win is a won game."
–Emanuel Lasker
Is it true?
