According to your profile, you have a 13% timeout over the last 90 days. Finishing more games without timing out will lower it.
I can't join a tournament because I have timed out in too many recent games?
You are correct. I checked the full stats, it's just those 2 games out of 15 daily games I've played. Goddamnit ...
Cant join tournaments, because of a few time-out games. Come on - this must be some sort of joke? And I have been PAYING YEARS for my membership !!!
So lets be reasonable and abolish this time-out rule once and for all for PREMIUM members!
I agree with Vantaaman about different rules for Premium Members, even if I am not a Premium Member. It would also be useful to know what the goalposts are. When are you cut off?

Why did you bump this thread, dude? Are you serious?
I'm in the same boat. I enrolled to my first (ever) tournament without knowing when it starts. The fact it has no dates makes it pretty ambiguous tbh.
When the tournament started, I did not receive a notification from chess.com and as such, I was unaware it started.
I think Chess.com should do more about this (for example send a notification when tournaments start) if it wants to increase engagement and repeat usage. It makes no sense to "punish" all users as some, may be genuine
When i was playing chess , this app froze (pretty sure its bug not connectivity issue) and i lost something like 4 matches by timeout. I hope i wont get banned too
I tried to join the 1200-1400 3-day time control tourney and I got this message.
Really? Go through my recent games and see how many times I lost on time out. I only remember 2 timeouts (which where against a single player, simultaneous timeouts, I miscalculated the days I had left by one and times out on both at the same time)
