Watch top players and try to learn. You can also try to do puzzles everyday and improve while analyzing.

Don't play a lot and avoid burnout. that's how I jumped from 2100 to 2300 in a week!

Just don't care about improving, you'll never be a GM or IM anyway most likely. I think chess was designed for narcissists, if you take chess too seriously you might end up becoming one.

she is definitely gonna become at least IM or NM in the future
