Marovic, Drazen (2000) - Understanding Pawns Play In Chess  Baburin, Alexander (2003) - Winning Pawn Structures

Thanks, FerociousResolve for these suggestions.  I have never heard of Understanding Pawns in Chess and it sounds worth checking out.

Many times it takes patience to read through the many off-the-subject comments in the threads, but such suggestions as yours makes the effort worth it.

No problem, happy to help. I'm forcing myself through a bit of a learning curve as well. C:

Hey, now that I've noticed that you're a member, I should point out that IM Danny Rensch has put together a cool series of videos on pawn structures and their assiociated plans. You can use this link to find them: http://www.chess.com/video/library.html?keyword=pawn+structure&author=ACEChess&players=&opening=&skill_level=&category=&page=1

Oh, and let me point you to something which took me a few weeks to find,  Chess.com's Study Plans Directory: http://www.chess.com/article/view/study-plan-directory

Just remember the 80/20 rule. 80% percent of your time now should be spent playing, with the other 20% being spent on studying theory.

Ok, enough waffle from me. Wishing you many fun and challenging learning experiences!
