Idgaf about leagues and I don't see how anybody could care. Being high up isn't rewarding at all, it just means you've wasted too much time on this game

I think top people in Crystal league don’t sleep or eat much. I maybe stuck in Crystal league too.🙁I’ll try again next week. Please put me in an easier division with normal people 🙏

I'm going to guess that almost all Elite divisions are going to be hard. There's not going to be very many of them, at 9 max, and almost all the top scorers on the leaderboards will be in them.

Trust in the folks at chess.com to screw up the design of the league system.
Wait a couple of weeks and these hard-chargers will be gone.
Then it will cost 10% of the effort to get promoted.
Time will tell but I'm guessing Crystal and Elite will be minimum 1,500-2,000 points to promote in most divisions for a while, even after the contest ends. It's hard to say what legend eventually will be, but I'm guessing more than that.

It officially not allowed and the site is working on a technical solution to prevent it.

Yes. Divisions don't start until 50 players are in them.

@miterryble appears frequently on the overall leaderboard, but he's only #6 in that division. Damn.
The top 5 in that division are in the top 50 overall.
if less than 50 later, does it mean some were banned ?
In lower leagues the most likely case is ties. There can be 4 people at #10 for example. So when you scroll to the bottom you wont see a #50.
In higher leagues I'd say the most likely case is people who leave the division after it's started. You can do that if you want to get into a new division or if you just want to stop participating in the leagues.
