I Have A Hard Time Playing As Black?

Sort:

Im so used to attacking, it seems like when I play as black Im just sitting around waiting for white to attack, what can I do to change this? I really hate just setting up my pieces and putting more and more protection on a piece like a pawn, what can I do to speed things up? I am a beginner (when it comes to openings, I have been playing chess for fun for years though) so maybe I need to learn some agressive defensive openings? Help would be appreciated...

This depends on the opening I think. Sounds like you are maybe playing symmetrical defences? Perhaps try the Sicilian (c5) against e4 where you aim for counterplay on the queenside while they attack your king?

do tactics puzzles, at your level you wil easily find an attack regardless o what opening you play, worry about that once you pass 1500

Well for one thing, this doesn't have much to do with playing black, but you played ELEVEN games in a single day during June! You lost every single one, and I can give you a reason why, even if it's not THE reason. You WILL exhaust yourself after playing that much, even if you don't feel it. If you lose one or two games on a single day, then it probably isn't your day. Take a break, play again tomorrow. You don't have to play that much in a day, come back stronger later.

You also played the same person multiple times, you forgot to look at accuracy too! your accuracy was good for someone your rating, but the person you played against played better than his rating for most of those games! He was probably on his way to a higher rating! If so, it might have been the equivalent to playing someone rated 1000!

Check me out, I was right! the person you played actually is now rated 1000! You were simply playing a superior opponent, not exactly a fair fight.
