I'm addicted to chess...

I bought 15 great chess books, read 3 of them, am halfway through a 4th, and have been using my newly learned techniques against a computer that keeps beating me. I record the games, find my biggest mistakes, and play and lose again.

Sounds great, right?

Well, I'm supposed to be getting stuff done around the house and starting other more important goals. I get depressed about my lack of accomplishments, and escape by studying more chess. At least playing chess all day is better than drinking alcohol all day, and cheaper too.

Thoughts?

Oh, and now I found this active forum to waste more time on with other chess addicts.

Even if I become a master, it won't benefit my life that much. The fun is the journey. I should pace myself with these books so I don't need to buy more so soon. But they sure are fun to read.
