you know, im new to chess, and i tend to over create threads, and i don't mean to do that, but when guys like xGRENDEL disrespect me by mocking me, i don't like that at all, it gives chess.com forums a bad reputation
Anish Giri is the answer to an interesting trivia question:
Who was the first Grandmaster younger than Carlsen to defeat him in a FIDE event?
But to answer the question in the title of this thread: No, Giri is not better than Carlsen. He's not even good enough, yet, to qualify for the Candidates tournament.
You have yet to create a post, no matter the length, with perfect grammar. I suspect that once you do, xGRENDEL will not do this.
that is perfect grammar
That is perfect grammar.
lol. At least grendel salvages something out of this.
Actually it should've been okay
Or OK (stands for old kinderhook).
But honestly, do you think that if carlsen played giri 20 games that carlsen wouldn't score above 50 %? That's the test.
20. The new magic number.
No. I am eager to see how much giri improves though, he is only 19!
superking500, apparently you're new to internet mixed media. What you're experiencing is trolling, and you're only feeding it. If you truly despise grendel maybe you should just ignore him?
Look at it this way, when Carlsen was Giri's age:
He finished = 5th at Corus A, 3rd at Linares, = 2nd at Mtel Masters (Cat 21), 1st at Pearl Spring (Cat 21), = 2nd at the Tal Memorial, and 1st at London.
So, how's Giri doing this year?
I thought it said some Amish girl was better than Carlsen. Nevermind.
Haha, that's exactly the same thing I though.
Well superking, if you want to follow that logic, Hou Yifan is the best player in the world.
She's 2-0 on Giri who is 1-0 on Carlsen.
Therefore Hou Yifan > Anish Giri > Magnus Carlsen
But we have to ignore all other matches to avoid paradoxes.
Cool name. I wonder what superking500 is gonna think, you were too amirite? Hahaha
