I recently completed a game and analyzed it, and I found some weird things. There was a move when I could take my opponents queen, and if he moved it I could get mate. However, I believe it could have been preventable, and the best move wasn’t to take my rook with my opponents queen, it was to move a random bishop. This is a huge blunder! Why is it not considered this? Also, my opponent had a move where they could get checkmate on me, so I played a pawn move to give my king a free space to move to. The analysis said that this was a mistake! It would have wanted me to sacrifice a rook for a bishop, and let my opponent have a major advantage and let them get close to mate. Why is this? Perhaps I missed a key move? I would appreciate any responses, thanks.
Well, the “random bishop move” was because there was no way for your opponent to protect their queen. They were going to lose it no matter what. As for the second thing, after you sac the rook on move twenty-six with 26. Rxc5+ then
