In my own opinion, only people who spend 69 hours everyday *ADDICTED* to playing chess think it's a legitimate sport. It's not, it's just a board game, always has been. Heard of that quote by Paul Morphy? The one that goes "The ability to play chess is a sign of a alpha wolf male, the ability to play chess well is a sign of a wasted life, the ability to see things that are not there is a sign of schizophrenia, the ability to forget alot of things is a sign of the Mensha, I think."

Chess is not a sport. Neither is golf. A sport is played on a field or court, with both an offense and defense on the field at the same time. Chess and golf are games. Not even fun games.

so sprinting and other parts of track is not a sport.
