I read somewhere that a study that was conducted on eldely people determined that among chess players alzheimer's sindrome was much more rare, it has to do with the fact that calculating so much keeps your mind active.
Is there anything like chess or more complicated
Sort:
I wonder how, the game of, chess could be thrilling and needs precision and calculation.
Is there anything we can learn from it?
to be precise, what are practical advantages?
what are the realistic chances of someone getting to GM level especially after the age of 26 years old(Doctor by profession). even if not 2600+, what are fair chances of someone enjoying to a level of skill?
what are psychological, social and other evident benifits
are there any film or documentary of best all time that gives an insight detail into the game of chess(to audiciences of 1500+)??
