Leela Zero( A Neural Network engine similar to Alpha Zero)

drmrboss

7kn/s for 1080ti is a bit slow, it should be 9kn/s.

Version 18 engine is even a bit faster,  I guess it should be 11kn/s in version 18. (my estimate, i have 1060 gtx and version 18 speed up my card about 20%)

Try nvidia card setting for best performance like that. And also remove you windows bloatwares.

Thanx for info :-) Tried optimizing the Nvidia settings, seems to increase slightly. However when running engine GPU hist 15% max on the task mgr. and CPU howvers about 1-3%.. Is that to be expected? Tried different number of workin threads.. Does the multithreading really work in 18rc2? seems only to go slower when increasing threads beyond 2?

In what language was leela coded in?

Is it possible this could be made available on iOS for iPad Pro? Or could it be run through the cloud to work on this device?

There is no iphone  or ipad version yet but they dont have neural processing unit and It will be pretty slow and useless anyway.(may be 2100-21500 rating at most)

These are phones that support neural network hardware

Ok.

@abeswick:

The latest A12X Bionic processor in the latest iPad Pro is quite useful for NN. According to the app “A Master of Go” it reaches 170 pps (playouts per second), while an iPad with a A10 processor only reaches 10 pps.

So strong Go and chess engines are possible for the latest iPad Pro. What is needed is an app that can read Leela networks.

Hi godeka, thanks that is useful to know - I was referring to the new iPad Pro. So essentially it could work but something would need to be developed, it couldn't be used currently though. I really hope more apps are developed that make the most of the new processor, I wonder if there are any plans to make alpha zero available as well in the future

?

What's this?

Godeka

@WoodTaker:

It said it directly after the start: “Using 2 thread(s)”. So two cores can be used.

Oh, I didn't read that.

Can someone please send the link to download the Leela ID 595 and other strongest 64 x 8 , 128 x 10 network files? Thanks!

http://lczero.org/networks/

 35xxx (or training run 1 ), they are strongest small network (10x128)

30xxx (or training run 2), they are strong big network. (20x256) (still weaker than 11248)
