Don't play bullet. Just stop. It's not real chess.

I think both chess.com and lichess are very good sites however I play on lichess a lot more than chess.com because the servers there dont crash all the time for me and chess.coms servers can be a nightmare in bullet. At the time of typing 1715 rated bullet is my rating now I could probably get to 1800-1850 with best play and the servers not crashing. However the point of this topic was not to bully ches.com for its servers but I was keen to know what is the rating disparity between lichess and bullet because in rapid and blitz the disparity is around 300 points but I dont think its the same for bullet,I think that chess.coms 1100 rapids would beat lichess 1100 rapids anyday, same goes for blitz but I'm unsure about bullet,I think if anything lichess 1800s could beat chess com 1800s.By the way I am way 1950 bullet on lichess. So the point of this was just to ask you guys what is the rating disparity between lichess and chess.com in  bullet? Also feel free to say ur thoughts about why lichess is better for bullet or chess.com is better for bullet,I know this was very long but thank u for reading!

I play on Lichess the occasional time.

I am experiencing easier games over there and thus a higher rating across the board. 900 bullet here and 1700 over there.

I did a thread very recently on how I was running into so many sand baggers at faster time controls. Compounded by leagues points is why I am experiencing an influx of stronger players.

I use both apps on my iPhone 13 max on cell data which is fast, so I don’t notice any lag.

That difference is huge. Weird.

Maybe the reason has something to do with the 2|1 time control.

By the way, I tired some 2|1 on a different account. It was hard to maintain a rating over 2000... and freaking 95% of players are rated 1800 (what the heck). Also the pool is so small at that rating you play the same people over and over...

... but maybe it was the time of day I was playing. I might try again later. It's kind of a fun time control even though I'm not used to it yet and make some mistakes with speeding up or slowing down at the wrong time.

Oh, and by that I mean I fell below 2000 multiple times. I know a lot of you play, you know, like 5 games in a day and then you're good for the whole week, but I played for ~4 hours straight heh.

I had a fun weekend with mixing it up on different time controls.

I had to see where my opening knowledge, middle game plans, tactics and intuition were at.

One of my latest 2/1 games goes intothe Najdorf against a strong 1200! Fortunately it’s my go to.

Theres definitely imbalance strength on this site and I think that was driven by the league points.

Yeah, 2|1 definitely seems harder than "normal" time controls. The reason I became interested in the first place is I looked at your 2|1 games and they seemed a lot better than the rating.

I tilted down to 1750 and then went lossless for 16 games back up to 1900. I felt like the 1 second increment gives me infinite time and so I kept forgetting it's bullet. Letting yourself get a bad position as long as you keep a high tempo seems to still be the correct way of playing. The biggest difference seems to be the premove phase is replaced with a 1 second per move phase.

Also the (not sure what to call it...) objective evaluation... engine evaluation(?) is more important in the last part of the game since any advantage you can convert at 1 second per move is winning.

Chuck639

Thanks for looking at my games.I did manage to score a respectable 75% accuracy after all that fun.

You made a good move about pre moving; it’s something I don’t do enough as a habit developed from rapid play.

End of the day, I’m playing bullet to work on my middle game plans, tactics and pattern recognition that are transferable to rapid play. I have a habit of burning up the clock out of the opening and middle game which causes me to scramble in the end game.
