Looking for Recommendations for an Excellent, Not too Expensive Consumable Chess Workbook

Might be able to buy 30 consumable workbooks for our library chess club. Looking for something that could maybe used over a few years where players get small rewards for their efforts. Suggestions? Experience doing this?

Probably get better responses in this forum.  I do know there is a Dutch series of graded  courses that have workbooks and are highly rated though (Steppenmethode or somesuch).

This is becoming harder to find new, but would probably be ideal for your needs.  Amazon does have a few new copies and quite a few used however...

Even better is the author's website.  On sale for $12.80.  Maybe less with a volume discount...

Maybe buy tactic book, endgame , opening and a general book for starters. And then focus on tactics , endgame and opening principles first. That would last and be effective too. Good luck

Thanks everyone for all the comments and suggestions. I will take a look at the book references and the scholastic forum.
