I just figured out that 85% of all the females here on chess.com are actually males.....
Why would any male use a female avatar and pretend to be female, do they derive anything from that... ❔❔❔❔

It's fun on other internet pages! I have 17 fake female accounts on facebook and its great fun to agree with guys to go on dates with them and then cancel or let them go there and the fake girl obviously doesnt show up. They get so angry, so the game is to make them happy again and see how many times you can not show up before they finally give up.
I dont see the point on chess.com though like you, since well, when you play chess i hardly even notice the nick of the opponent, let alone the sex. I never even noticed if anybody was female.

We'll never know 'til someone actually has acurate data & can add 2+2. ....oh...for bar charts & pie charts & meaningful stats.
...but...do we care though? If you want to pretend a gender? Like that's a new idea? Fill out a junk mail shopping survey & be what you like. Makes for curious offers/discounts/sales.
