New coaching service : "you're so good"
When you purchase this service, I will applaude and admire your play during a full hour. I'll use all my chess knowledge to find hidden value even in your ugliest moves, and use flattering comparisons to various giants of the present and the past. I will also offer a rough estimate of the # of months required for you to reach the NM, IM, GM and 2700+ level and give you a good way to get there without leaving the comfort of your computer screen and without assigning tedious exercises between sessions.
All losses will be explained by temporary setbacks (fatigue, lack of concentration, multitasking, opponent having a fantastic day, engine break...) without ever doubting your natural talent and bright chess future.
Stay tuned for a sample analysis coming soon
You have never played me or seen my recent games otb and you are going to indirectly mock me? What is the point of that? what does that accomplish? Just talk to me, question me, play me and make your own assesment rather then acting a bit like a kid, please. I'm not offending your or anything
I didn't mean to offend you. Sorry if my post hit you too hard.
I'll make an assessment when I'll see your OTB tournament games. If you can reach 1800 USCF within one year, I'll be the very first to congratulate you. Actually, if you have the courage to go and play in an OTB rated tourney, you already have my respect
But boasting a 2200 level because you played against ChessMaster just shows a clear lack of, let's say, experience.
I also believe that opening one's eyes, especially when he is young, has some value. It doesn't mean I don't think you have potential in chess. It means your claims aren't based on anything solid just yet. There is a difference.
Well, I wish you have the opportunity to play OTB chess some day, because it's quite an experience
I don't have time to play training games against you, sorry, but I'd be interested to see the games that your coach labelled as 'of 2200 quality' (I'll refrain from making any comments, but I'm curious).
As for your coach, as I have never taken any lessons with him, and have no close chess relative having taken any lessons with him either, I don't have any opinion about him. But I would be critical of a coach sugarcoating things too much. Anyway, I guess it's up to the student to decide what's good for him.
if you got to 1700, even USCF in 1 year of training and playing, you are a super genius at chess, faster progress than most world-class GMs
2000 should be an absolute joke to you
but he had more than 1 year of training and playing did he not?
You have potential, and you have potential, oh boy
after much deliberation i regret to inform you that you have no potential. There are many games you can play, some you may even master. Chess, however, is not one of them. I suggest you give checkers a try.
Best of luck,
anything above 2000 cannot be taught. it is just natural ability for the game and the vision of seeing pieces in harmony. I think anyone above 2000 has some genius that is only suitable for chess and not usable anywhere else. and yes, i am f-ing jealous.
