My Expert Perspective on Getting Better at Chess

Based upon reading the previous comments & reposts in prior threads, I understand why players with a 800 ELO could begin to feel that it is impossible to get better at chess.

The fact is that losing is difficult, but it is part of the process of learning chess. Playing chess online against some of the best players in the world is not the same as playing OTB in a neighborhood. That's why it's far more difficult to raise your ratings

Unlike the chess "Experts" who have posted their input, I don't recommend doing puzzles or evaluating your matches

However, I also don't care enough about those who fail to put in the time or who lack the motivation to get better as I have no desire to hold them by the hands and teach them how to improve. My view is that if you lack the personal motivation to improve on your own, then there is no level of assistance that will help you.

At 2300 Blitz, I am capable of competing against and defeating some of the strongest players in the world on Chess.com. They know it & I know it. It is a mutual respect. While I will not tell you how to get here, I will tell you that knowing how strong I am at chess enables me to understand how the rest of the .1% feel when they compete on Chess.com.

Do not understand the point of this pointless post other that a platform to spontaneously stroke your own ego for some reason.

TheyYes RopemakerStreet, look at her! She’s been here for 10 years playing chess from around 1400 when she started. She knows how to get there so take her words as motivation.

If you view my post as pointless, then that is your interpretation

I'm not going to argue the meaning that you ascribe to it or don't ascribe to it.

I started playing chess from an early age on Chess.com. Today, I don't even fear GMs
