Considering that the original post is from 19 months ago, I'm pretty certain this one isnt 2Q.
The chances for Nakamura to get to the Candidates are very slim at the moment. He is still a good player.

The organizers and FIDE already have the world championship happening in the USA without any sponsor.
are they predicting that Nakamura or Caruwana are going to make to the championship?
Honestly i don't know if i want to see Nakamura play for the title. He has never beaten carlsen and it would be embarrassing to see an american do so poorly in the title match.
