No Skill Bullet

You'd think 1900 means you're good at the game, right? Well think again. Look at how many stupid mistakes both of us made.

I don't see any mistakes. This game is pure perfection. At first I thought it was Stockfish playing Komodo.

Bullet is BS. There is not a lot of difference between a 1200 and a 1600 in bullet.

Most bullet games are about who moved faster, not about who made the better moves.

  • #4

That may be true in some cases, but the higher level you go, the more moves matter.

perfect 👌🏻 game, makes me think I should begin the Hungarian opening with d3 instead of g3 for a change

About 4 months ago I went from 1100 to 1500 in just one night, played maybe 40 bullet games. I really did not noticed any real difference between the 1100s and the 1500s.

It is way more about how you feel. If you feel good you can easily have a 10 win streak, if you feel bad you can easily lose all games you played.

Someone messaged me that this guy is the most childish and ineffective troll on chess.com, and really bad at chess. Is this true?

No. it's not true. Milo is not like that

I think he was talking about Vlad

At ratings 2000 and above you will witness alot of bullet players making quality moves  ... Unlike the typical underrated players who play 10 premoves in just 3 seconds irrespective of what their opponents play... Infact I don't use premove in the opening.. rather I put my both thumbs on two most probable responses that I'd to play .. that saves me alot of time and give me a better control over the clock.

If bullet required no skill you'd have a rating of 3000 and would be playing Hikaru on his twitch streams. There is obviously skill involved. Like blitz it's mostly just memorization of tactical patterns, positional themes and plain intuition. Bullet just takes that to another level. And although a lot of time it can come down to simply playing random moves due to time trouble, those GMs out there can play better moves with 1 minute on the clock than most can find in 30.

@penandpaper0089 Good point. There are so many people saying: Uuuhh bullet chess is not real chess. or You don't learn anything by playing bullet.

Bullet is not a learning tool for chess although I like to use it to try new openings. And your own playing strength will carry over to your bullet playing strength.

There is a video of carlsen blitzing out moves in less than a second. And the moves were really good.

This requires a lot of experience and a good chess understanding.

Positive, I am a Chess intellectual, nothing more. I'm pretty sure I've made this clear several times.

Even in bullet you can learn things. Most of the time in bullet when you reach a position you either know what to do or you don't. If you don't then maybe it's something you should work on. This is a really big deal when you get down to endgames. But bullet isn't really my game anyway lol. I struggle enough in blitz. meh.png
