Plans for OTB- I am scared to death!

That makes all the difference ;)

The potential barrier to reach a game of chess is significantly lower on the internet than OTB.

If all users' internet was cut, I guess more than 20% would be forced to go OTB. Laziness is not the same as cowardice (if such a word exists).

Well about timed chess, I decided to play some 10 mins chess on a site called Because I worry so much about my ratings on here and what people would think of me I figured that I would get too nervous so I played a 10 min game on chess hotel. It got down to a king and 2 pawn vs a king and 2 pawn endgame and I won on time (I was originally down on time but then I went on a perpetual check ramapge that could of led to mate so I had to make my opponent think a little and eventually I had the time advantage. I won on time with 53 seconds left on my clock.

I was playing white by the way. Because I felt more relaxed I played much better. How do you think I played?

Just sit down at the table and offer your hand. Be friendly ,confident, cheerfull, and don't be shy about acting like you own the board.... Like A Boss. Have a good time. If you lose , laugh it off and say "Good Game Dude!".

If you win, smile and say "you had me on the ropes a few times, great game".

Then move on. it's only chess for chrissake.
