If you are not interested in improving your game--keep playing very weak players who don't know when to resign,
It is beyond me why some want to play players who are so weak?

It depends on what you mean. I like to review my daily games afterwards and learn from my mistakes and how my opponents punished them. It can be quite instructive to see how a better player converts a winning position into a won endgame so I often play on in such a scenario. However, if youre referring to playing on when its a king and rook v king endgame etc then I guess I agree with you
You always play to the end. At least I do. It's not over till it's over.
Said by 1200 elo?!
LOL. I find it horribly loser to lose a game and still playing it... My two cent! My hope just fade way in chess humanity. I think it's a double lost until mate to not resign before!! Not able to recognize your are losing, then you hope to win with a blunder wow! This is unrespectfull!
To keep a good sprit, it should give double elo point when it happen! Furthermore, we should have sportmanship rating close to your name to show how loser you could be...!
exactlyyyy
...'cause a stalemate is better than a loss (when you are awarded points for a draw). Additionally, sometimes the other person starts making quick moves as they chase you around the board and make a mistake that evens the game (i.e., running up against your king, or crossing into a protected file). If I'm definitely losing, I will resign, but when we're having a shootout at the end where we get down to minimal material, I may choose to hang.
I always enjoy that...it's rare I get a winning position.
