chess came from 🇮🇳

Patszer

Everyone knows chess came from India. This is one of many reasons I like the Indian people. After all let's give credit where credit is due.

Sure. Have the Olympiad in conjunction with the Summer and Winter games. No problem.

When you go to the Olympics, drop by the Chess Pavilion and check out the action.

The original Olympics included plays and poetry competitions.

I didn't know that Senior and you raise a very good point. Sports are not limited to events of pure physical strength.

chess is also a physical activity. not only that brain is a part of the body, I remember the time when I participated in live matches, and very often that I lost weight of 2or 3 pounds during a match, similar to  when I go running.

Perhaps if players vigorously sweep the board whilst moving chess could be accepted.

Probably be 2025, given the current fiasco. But rapid Chess would be great for Olympics. And the team section in particular. Millions of people would take up the sport.

Patszer

I agree with the lion. If people are exposed to chess as an Olympic sport then millions of people would at the very least look into learning the game.
