I think I might as well have been playing Blitz, I guess lol.
Soo... I've never played with a clock, certainly never played rapid chess. Comments?
I wanted him to think I wanted his knight, not focus on the exposed king behind it. If I'd indicated I wanted the 8th file then I may have well announced my plan.
If you notice, my pawn was guarding his bottom two moves for the king on the 7th file. If he'd moved back sooner down to the g or h rank he'd have an out.
Ok, how the heck do you bluff in chess? That's akin to bluffing in poker with your cards face up... "
I also sacrificed quite a few pieces at the start of the mid-game.

It was a gamble, though. It would have likely ended with mate anyway by that point, but it would have been a drawn-out fight if I'd revealed my plan or if, otherwise, he'd have moved.
Had he noticed, he really had me screwed lol.
I learned chess when I was a kid. I always lost, of course. I was always playing against a neighbor, whom I never beat until he was heavily medicated after a surgery. However, I never made a real study of the game. Then, I found chess.com, quite recently in fact.
I had never played with a clock before, and I was nervous, especially when I realized it was only 10 minutes. So, I decided to play a live game on here, but I didn't realize it was rapid chess (10m). I start my opening, and he starts throwing curveballs almost immediately. We ended up finishing the game in under 30 moves. He had seconds on the clock, and I'm sitting on just over 6 minutes. I checkmated him with a bluff.
EDIT: I humbly invite any comments or critiques about this game. I am here to learn, albeit I do realize the AI can't take into account my mindset and psychological goals in certain moves it marks as mistakes. Its messy, I'm only now moving beyond knowing how the pieces move despite playing for years.
EDIT 2: What I mean by psychological and bluff is 23. Nf24 Qd4+.
I think he wanted me to move the king, not sacrifice my queen. But my rook at a8 was the point.
