Superstitions in Chess!?

My friend here told me that Grischuk has this superstition of not shaving his beard till he gets an off-day during the tournament. I have also heard that Bacrot too has something like that. Even Kasparov, I suppose removes his watch keeps it on the right side of the table before every game!

I for one, am pretty finicky about taking and using my personal chess set for all my OTB games inspite the club having many chess sets with them.

I am curious to know what other interesting superstitions/finicky mannerisms that other chess players here or any other top GMs that you know of haveSmile?

I read that superstition caused black to move 2nd (It used to be that a coin was flipped (or something to that effect) and whoever lost the toss and had to go 2nd would almost always choose black because they believed they were lucky) I think I read that in, 'the immortal game'

I need my knights facing forward on the board. Not looking to the side.  When I ask myself why, I have not got a clue what that's about.  I am also out of sorts if a single piece on the board is not totally centralised on its square.  Tongue out
