Ruy Lopez
All champions have played it.
It does most for the center.

To start, every opening has its advantages, but they all try one thing: Control the center.
Controlling the center is the best start to win the game, it gives you access to different positions for your pieces while the opponent might just have a few movements. The center is one of the most important places of the board, it is where both opponents meet and where the most activity happens. One of the most common thing is to place our pawn on e4 and then place the knight right next to it. You are controlling part of the center, which is a good start but your opponent might simply place their pawn in e5, that’s why the knight is there, to eat the opponent’s pawn.
For you, which is the best opening and why? Let me know in the comments and also if this was useful for you. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask me. 😊
