Is the Double Knight Checkmate real? Check this out --

Two knights have enough power to checkmate a lone king but they just cannot force a win. Do you believe in the double knight checkmate? Let me know in the comments!   wnwn

maybe, but your opponent must be stupid.

I think it's impossible to get into that position.

Really looks like mate BUT I am 99% confident that you would have to stalemate before getting this position but the other 1% is wanting to believe that this could actually happen

This isn't forced but is technically a mate.

It can't be forced but your opponent can blunder into it

This might happen, but it needs a lot of efforts, blunders, derank and stuff.

The only time this can realistically happen is if your opponent wants to lose because you managed to end with two Knights up or if your opponent has negative elo

If I remember well the "K vs K+N+N" position is considered as draw automatically on chess.com

K+N+N vs K+P is sometimes a win cause you force the king into the corner without stalemating it and by the time the pawn starts moving you checkmate them.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_knights_endgame#Two_knights_versus_a_pawnI'm not an endgame expert, but feel free to read this for better info.
K vs K+N+N is drawn unless the opponent blunders.

I mean chess.com automatically ends such a game as a draw so no further blunders are possible

On chess.com, yes. On lichess, they make you play it out. I play there more often but I don't think I've gotten this endgame yet.

Could someone from chess.com confirm this?

Thanks.

I hope they didn't change it.

Yes, it worked. 👍

I had a N v NN game without pawns, where my opponent didn't accept my draw offer. So I wondered if I have to play 50 moves or if I should force him to take my knight.

He took and the game ended. 🙂
