Well, technically the player who "wins" the game could well have provoked the other player into throwing a queen.

I annoy my opponent by constantly putting their king in check so that eventually, they get exasperated and abandon the game. My goal initially was not to annoy them, it just worked out that way! Plus, I need EVERY advantage I can get cuz I’m not particularly good.

You could also just move your rook like a bishop, should lose the game for you

If you're playing a series of games (say, one game each week) at home against a neighbour, you should saw a quarter of an inch (half a centimeter) off all four legs of his chair before each game.

As the weeks go by, he will slowly sink into the ground while you gradually start to tower over him, more and more as the series of games goes by.

Psychologically very effective.
