he was muted multiple times for posting things most people (read: adults) are aware of.
nothing out of bounds. bots and staff not recognizing language. huge fail. the last mute was the last straw for him, so he went to lichess.
this is an example of how this site sometimes sucks a**. they allow bots to police when they are clueless about the effects.
no mod or staff member intervened to keep a titled player. no one looked at why he was muted. erik has become so arrogant that he thinks everyone wants to be here and bots will take care of things.
clifton is a real person that was great in all topics, whether it was about play or anything else. that nothing was done to keep a titled player here, as well as a regular contributor in many topics, shows how little the site cares about anyone.
i will reiterate-the a**holes here allowed a bot to get rid of a titled player that was also quite interesting in topics other than chess.

Tony wasn't the average titled player. He didn't always play by the silly arbitrary rules but his contribution to the community far outweighed any minor inconveniences to any fragile egos that filled the same community.
