TOO MUCH IS TOO MUCH...🤔

Opinions Wanted..... can you play too many games in a row... that it actually deteriorates your performance ? I believe it does. That being said... what do my chess brothers and sisters believe is the best regiment for them.... example being.... 1 day on 1 day off... study 5 days play 2 days....give me your best training program..... Thanks... PS. Try playing a few games while listening to LED ZEPPELIN.... that works for me...✌️

The broader concept is called "burnout", and it happens with anything requiring mental effort. An ideal schedule depends on the person, but an absolute must is to allow at least some time--like one or two days a week--that's deliberately completely free of the activity.

I agree too much in one day will reduce the performance.

In one of John Bartholomew’s YouTube videos he casually recommended 4 15 minute games a day for beginners.

I find that music does help me a little

After every 2 or 3 games, a short break is in order for me. I simply lack the mental stamina to derive enjoyment from more than that, and my performance decreases dramatically.
