anand is in that list?
Fischer and Anand are both in my list.
So why would you think he's referring to yours, not the OP?
Kasparov is the best chess player of all time but if you make this list who is top tactical player then i give you the list below.
1- Mikhail Tal (If you do not agree with me just watchinng his game.He is a real chess magician)
2- Paul Morphy (He is a legend of tactics mosly in italian line)
3- Garry Kasparov (He has No real weakness in chess)
4-Alexandar Alekhine (Probably Kasparov most influenced by Alekhine)
5-Bobby Fiscer (His theory in chess was sac sac sac and mate [LOL] )
If you do not agree with me then tell me a reasonable cause.
Good Luck for your chess game !!!
It's interesting that none of those players are active today.
"5-Bobby Fiscer (His theory in chess was sac sac sac and mate [LOL] "
This is just flat out wrong. Fischer was a charter member of the Pawnsnatcher's Anonymous club. He routinely grabbed his opponent's sacs and held on to win. One of his most famous lines, the Najdorf Poisoned Pawn variation, is an excellent example of his chess philosophy, at least as Black. Grab material, hang on to the endgame, and win. His chess philosophy as White was a bit different: he adhered to classical principles as White and often won in the style of Capa rather than the style of Alekhin or Kasparov.
But today's top players are more tactical than most of those players on the list. Caruana, Aronian, Topalov, and Nakamura all relish complex tactical battles and can work out deep calculations at least as well as Tal, perhaps even better than Tal! That's not blasphemy. Among his contemporaries, Keres and Bronstein may have been better at tactics than Tal was. Tal's tactical vision was good, but what set him apart was his imagination.
Fischer, Morphy, Kasparov, Capablanca, Alekhine, Tal, Anand, Paul Keres, Lasker.
