Trying to understand women's logic towards chess

Maybe the fact that there is a separate woman's chess league is contributing to that. Chess is intellectual. MEN ARE NOT SMARTER THAN WOMAN. A woman has to work ten times harder to get recognition than a guy.

There are two chess "leagues." One lets anyone play, the other only lets women play. In other words men aren't discriminating against women. Women can play in any tournament and earn any title. It's the men who are limited in what competition they can face and what titles they can earn.

The reason that there has to be a separate chess league specifically for women is because of the added pressure on women from low life creeps who will ogle them as they play or maybe condescend to them and justify their moves or results based on their hormones or whatever.

Just look at the profile page of any person on here with a picture of an attractive woman and read the skeevy comments left for them and imagine that you're a woman playing in a room full of men where only ten percent are like that.

And the separate titles, which each have a 200 point lesser requirement, are those because men ogle them?

And justifying loses as if the loser unfairly lost and should normally be the winner? Men do that to men all the time. It's call jerks, and adults in the real world don't need to be separated to deal with it.

Time to uncheck the "follow" button.

StupidGM, stuzzicadenti, my assessment is this: You are the typical males who can't get laid and so you generalize that it must be the woman's fault. I know a lot of men who have your retarded philosophies and none of them are married but they all know why (it's those emotional, money-hungry women).

The_Chin_Of_Quinn

Anyway, I think the separate titles and tournaments are dumb. It's good that (normally) both genders compete in the same tournaments.

The_Chin_Of_Quinn

If there were a whole world full of rich women wanting to give me their money and have sex with me I'd be sure I looked extra pretty before I left the house too lol.

Just sayin

Not sure it's as much in the genes as it is practical decisions.

Actually, men's brains are on average larger than women's.  According to Wikipedia and based largely on people with European ancestry the average man's brain is 1260 cm^3 while the average women's brain is 1130 cm^3.  What this means I have no idea but it is not true that our brains are all the same.

Also I read men have a little more grey matter, while women have a lot more white matter.

What this means exactly, I'm sure no one knows yet, but just to emphasize again, yes, the brains are different. Hormones too obviously.

Alot of times women see chess or playing chess is a waiste of time , I mean they completely look down at it ! Like if you were drinking or smoking cigarettes this kind of thing not exactly that bad, but still. They think probably think of it as more like Lego pieces moved around, they don't even realise the deepness of the game, of each decision made behind each move, how much stress their is,stamina, control, self control, emotions, intuition etc.... they simply see it as child playing with Lego pieces simple and plain, it's like they are looking thru goggles.

I mean sure they think it's a waiste of a time etc.. but I can say the same thing about cooking that is a waiste of time (and they spend way more time in the kitchen, then us playing the game), if I were use their logic with chess in comparison with cooking I also can say cooking you just need to know how to chop , fry and eat simple job is done , you ate and every day is same waiste of time cooking, how about depth picking all ingredients, thinking, combining ingredients, flavours, timing etc.... same thing

I can see both and understand sides of it , but it's seems women only see one side?

Please stop generalizing and try and avoid being stupidly sexist like this. Educate yourself, read up and stop writing garbage in chess forums or anywhere else if you can.

Oh my God! Bashing women again!

Chin of Quinn:  What is white matter?

solskytz

Also a lot of men see chess as a waste of time.

A lot of people in general see each and every activity in life as a waste of time, when they are not connected to it. End of story.

Do I look like a brainologist? tongue.png

From what I remember it said something about grey matter focuses on one thing while white matter connects a lot of different things together. Made me think of woman's intuition.

But I'm sure that's the dumbed down version for laymen to get a general feel.

+1 <JohnJohn> comment #70. Direct and to the point.

ChePlaSsYer

Ask Nigel Short about it, he is a brainlogist.

TRextastic

Your parents did a god-awful job of raising you.

ChePlaSsYer

What is the problem with the OP? He is just wondering about life. Sure, women will get offended but who cares?

The_Chin_Of_Quinn

oops, nevermind.
