V3 Tactics trainer still punishes use of time
You are not punished. I am happy to recieve points for solving problems slowly. I am extra pleased with a large pass rate. You are only punished if you get points taken from you.
I wouldn't really call 1 point a reward for a puzzle above your rating! (I am rated 1900 in tactics trainer, the puzzle was 1928) Shouldn't the standard be at least 1-8 points(depending on rating of puzzle) +points for time management in the puzzles? The point is to reward for using less time, but with this system, you could solve a much hard puzzle and get +1, but would get -8 for not solving an equally hard puzzle. Therefore, you would get -7 points and thus be punished for using more time. It doesn't make sense!
if you get it wrong you should lose points. This Tee-Ball mindset of "Everyone is a winner" is killing sports, and competition.
I think it would be nice if they gave you the option to do tactics trainer without a time limit affecting your score as well as what they have at the minute, you know the way they do it on chesstempo with 2 different tactic trainer settings. Some times if your not that quick at calculating on chess.coms tactics trainer you can get 9 out of 10 tactics right and your rating doesn't change because you get 1 point for the 9 you got right and -9 for the one you got wrong, its a bit frustrating i find.

Youre under pressure from the clock during an OTB rated game, so why do you want to eliminate that when practicing?
Just give everyone 100 points just for trying.
Yes. People are way to sensitive. I complained about it from time to time in V2's facist marking scheme. But there is nothing wrong with V3.

I only play correspondance games so time isn't really an issue for me in my games like it would be OTB, I'm not saying to get rid of the current system I'm just saying it would be nice to have the option to choose between 2 different settings.
@GodsPawn2016 You misunderstood me, I don't mean that there shouldn't be a punishment for giving an incorrect solution, I mean there shouldn't be a punishment for using your time to solve a puzzle.
In short, V3 does not punish you for slow solving but rewards you for being fast.
Simple as that. It is the best way for it in my opinion.

Its the same as OTB play. the longer you take, the more time you use, the more risk of time trouble you run into. If a tactics takes you 5 seconds to solve, and takes me 10 minutes. You should get more points for it, while i get fewer.
The bottom line is DONT get caught up in an online tactics rating. The big picture is increasing your pattern recognition.

You can do "Unrated" that doesnt have a timer.
