Which do you think is more accurate ?

1. Queen = Rook + Bishop

2. Queen = Rook + Bishop + Bishop

3. Queen = Rook + Knight + Bishop

AndyClifton

none of the above

CalbaMan

I say Number 1, just because that is closest to what Chess.com states.

AndyClifton

...so it's the least inaccurate. Wink

CalbaMan

...and the most accurate. Undecided

AndyClifton

Nope, the least inaccurate.

CalbaMan

No, the most accurate.

Oh, that's it! Im gonna go all OTB on you!

i think the more interesting question would be Queen vs Bishop pair + Knight

9 vs 3+3+3 but sometimes bishop pair is really more like 7... soooo hmmm

GhostNight

One queen = two Rooks

b3nnyhaha

two rooks are slightly better than one queen in the majority of cases ^.^

would you exchange a queen for these three?

hmmmm, dont think I would.... (points immaterial)

guess I dont have the confidence.

GhostNight

A lot depends on your level of chess, so for example if you do not know how to play your rooks to there highest level then the queen will easily dominate,  therefore a stronger player will beat two rooks evey time against a weaker player, but then same can be said for a stronger player with two rooks against a queen, every thing else being equal.   I like to say a queen is worth 10 pts and rook 5pts to keep the math simple! lolo
