What are your hobbies? What are the hobbies of people with a very high IQ?

My hobbies involve real estate, high stakes gambling,  skydiving,  surfing and cycling.   I am a huge movie buff, classically trained vocalist and play 11 instruments more than proficiently.  I love drawing, painting and sculpting.  I am dabbling in graphic design, chess and photography.    I often travel internationally, dining, attending concerts and meeting fun people in fun places!

This all will end soon , don't worry

Can you share what your hobbies are? Also, do you know what the hobbies of the smartest people are? Finally, what is a great hobby to make good money? I have heard that chess tournaments don't pay much, so I was wondering how you guys pay your bills with your brain folds.

I want to hear SERIOUS answers, so please don't troll my topic. The admin can delete the same topic I posted in "Off-topic" by accident. Thanks!

I buy and sell stamps. I have a very high IQ. I like walking and music and making very rude noises with my bottom, to amuse my wife. I am currently on wife no 112.

I go to auctions and buy furniture, ceramics and paintings as a bit of a hobby.  I like second hand shops and second hand books.  I work full time.  I am a teacher.  We run an equestrian centre - we have 20 + horses at livery at ours.  We make hay.  We have properties rented out.  Chess is just something I spend time doing - I've just started playing - it really suits me - I love chess.com - I can play when I want - with whom I want.  I'm just average IQ I guess - but it takes my mind off things and when I can't sleep it is 'open all hours'.

So can you make hay at night?  Or can you only make hay while the sun shines?

Haaa - mostly don't make hay - as it usually rains!  But in theory - it should be an income stream.

I am just curious, why did you even ask that question. People have many interests.........

If you are looking to make some extra cash apart from playing tournaments, I think Chess coaching isn't a bad idea if you feel you are good enough. You can start with beginners and charge for online classes. That way, you get to live your passion and at the same time make some money.

I'm not sure what IQ I have. Not as high as a lot of others on this planet though I know that much. I like motocross bikes, fishing, video games, reading even though I have always struggled with that. I like fish keeping, darts, pool. swimming, Working with wood building things like arcade cabinets. Mainly though I'm into everything. happy.png

William Sidis collected streetcar transfers.  Thus making a high IQ not seem terribly significant.

People with a truly high IQ usually can't stay interested in Chess. We're compelled to realize that there are countless other more productive and enjoyable things we could be doing with that same time and it quickly diminishes our interest in the game. A competitive venue with something actually riding on the outcome of the competition usually appeals to the true intellects more than board games like Chess, Checkers, and Chutes and Ladders. Naturally.

Even though Einstein hated competition!

You will find people that play Tiddlywinks, usually have an extraordinary high IQ ...... I’ve actually done a survey that involved a hundred top class players of this game , and the results were just staggering ! .......each of them had an IQ
Between 190 , and 205 ! ......quite unbelievable ! 🙀
