The Sokolsky and the Veresov are playable but they're kind of a joke among masters.

The Sokolsky will have a master licking his chops since Black will have so many winning chances. You will lose many games with it.
You're more likely to draw with the Veresov but it won't strike fear into the heart of a master. Good luck crushing a master with the dreaded Veresov Attack. It might work for Jobava but not for anybody else.

Is this a good opening playing as white for a classical time controls or is it better for blitz? Veresov attack
I'm currently using Sokolsky opening for playing blitz, would veresov attack would be better all around or I should keep sokolsky for playing blitz and play veresov only in classics?
