what is your favorite chess piece? mine is the king, knight, rook.what is yours?

Rocket5cientist

In my opinion, the knight is the best, since if you do a fork, the only way to stop is to kill it, making it perfect for traps. It's like a kamikaze piece.

I also like the knight both in looks and the way it moves. It is also unique in the fact that it can jump over pieces.

Bishop because I like Arthur Bishop.

The knight is the great wildcard of chess. I can’t imagine chess without it.

I see that here, for many of you, the favorite figure is a knight. Just like me. I'm amazed. To be honest, I didn't expect so many fans of this magical figure here. Perhaps here I started from the principle of the ingrained opinion that a bishop is still slightly more valuable than a knight. As far as I know, the bishop was a favourite chess piece for my favorite chess player, Bobby Fischer. But in chess there are obviously no coincidences or special clichés, because each player creates his own world of chess. happy.png

Depends on the game position, I would prefer a bishop in an endgame but usually I would like a knight in a midgame

Rocket5cientist

Whenever I have an exchange sacrifice, and I use my bishop to take their knight, I always take the opportunity. In the endgame, if a knight is one of the pieces, you should be scared, since you're always looking out for a fork.

Mine is any piece that could go straight.

Aleksandar_Maximus

Yes, Kabil, complete truth. It really all depends on the position, often the pawn is crucial, of course. During the French Defense, on example the white light squared bishop is a crucial figure in the Advance Variation, often. There are many different games, and each figure is of the utmost importance in accordance with its competencies, each can be fateful and decide the match and its course.

TheMouth888

I would have to say the king. Because he's the only one I'm really worried about being taken.

specialoxypos

Knight! because at the end of the game he gives too many advantages.

Pawn!Because in the endgame pawns and kings are really what you should worry about

Aleksandar_Maximus

The Knight and the Bishop are "midfielders", excellent mediators and scorers, powerful in defense. Well paired with other figures, they are very dangerous and powerful. One knight when it's in the middle of the board strikes 8 fields. Bishop paired with advancing A or H pawn is a nightmare literally wink.png

22880, Yeah, King and pawns, very deadly.
