The point of chess is to reach a result, either 1: 0, 1/2/1/2 0r 0:1.  To get to that point players subject ideas to falsification through the application of logic, looking at algorithms so as to determine their efficacy or otherwise.  Its both science and art because it often contains an element of experimentation.

it differs i guess as for me ive been playing it most of my life and cannot see a time when i wont be playing it , i guess for me chess is what i do daily , i dont really think it has much more point than being a lifelong friend and im glad i met it
